Ohio conservative and ag leaders call for immigration reform
Date: November 19, 2014
COLUMBUS — Several conservative business and agriculture leaders in Ohio, including Chris Gibbs, former Shelby County Republican chairman, joined a teleconference Wednesday morning to urge the Ohio delegation to work toward passing meaningful immigration reform in Congress as soon as possible.
“Leading on this issue is a no-brainer for conservatives,” said Gibbs, of Maplewood. “Reform based on conservative principles will create economic growth and help expand the GOP’s electoral prospects in the future. I am confident the Republican Party is up to the challenge to make a positive change for the nation on this critical issue.”
